Earthy tones that reflect the Northland landscape provide a welcoming atmosphere and help promote wellbeing at this new District Health Board administration facility.
The fit-out provides accommodation for 200 staff with room for future growth. Flexible meeting and training facilities are incorporated into the layout. The functional layout considers team adjacencies and workflow, with opportunities for informal collaboration between teams in the largely open-plan workspaces.
Staff facilities include a social lunchroom with access to an outdoor courtyard, a training room breakout lounge area, and a kitchenette facility within a semi-enclosed nook.
Creative use of unpretentious materials ensured the design met budget while creating a stimulating environment that reflected Northland’s identity.
