Situated on one of West Auckland’s busiest arterial routes, this retail development needed to maximise leasable space while overcoming challenges around access and parking.
WMZA designed the site to include a main thoroughfare off one entry and a second, calmer entry into the heart of the development. Taking advantage of the site’s excellent visibility to commuters – and adding to the leasable area – a childcare centre was provided in the second floor tenancy.
Further value was added with a palisade-like screen that provided a feature element, as well as some shading to the western elevation and childcare centre. Exterior landscaped play areas on the upper floor of the main building add further amenity.
