Making the most of its prominent street front location, 203 Papanui Road is a two-storey stand-alone retail and commercial project that forms part of the Merivale Shopping Centre. Employing a similar palette of materials to that proposed for the main Shopping Centre upgrade, the WMZA design provides a strong link to the proposed refurbishment, through a shared architectural form and materiality. The ground floor includes space for three high quality retail tenancies appealing to the fashionable neighbourhood. A selection of sought-after commercial space is located on the first floor. Clad in limestone and New Zealand basalt, the articulated frontage is a high quality addition to the Merivale commercial strip.
