The site-specific challenge for Sony’s Wellington shop was to tempt customers to explore the entire store, which is split over two levels.
Customers entering from the street are encouraged to follow a natural travel path, circumnavigating the lower retail space before being drawn to the upper level via a dynamic display fixture that spans the transition between levels. The central concierge area acts as an axis point, enabling customers to interact with sales staff around a bar or seated at a connected lower table beneath the spine of the folded ceiling.
The store focuses on the connectivity and convergence of the product ranges. This encourages customers to discover the way interaction and learning are built into the Sony experience.
